I hate myself for loving you4/3/2023 My issues with I Hate Myself For Loving You? Well, after reading a similar series with mature rock stars recently I can't help but compare the two. For years it was my career but now that I've decided not to do it anymore I would be more than willing to help a new author out, services free due to the circumstance. I would have done it for her for free after reading about her health issues, without question, it's something I enjoy and am passionate about. ![]() I could be incorrect in my assessment but it appears this author did the revisions on her own. For years I typed, revised and edited books for authors that were unable to do so on their own for health issues so I understand the process. First, the typos, I can't stress enough that normally a few don't bother me and if you look up some of my other reviews you'll know I state a fact when I say most times they should and could be overlooked but there were just too many here to distract the reader. Well, unfortunately that didn't happen here. The maturity was what grabbed me and Travis rising to her challenge and Declan falling shortly behind him in line was refreshing. ![]() She started the healing process with her natural instinct to nurture beginning with Travis and working her way through his band mates after they lost their band mate, Andy, the year prior. I enjoyed the age of these rockers, they weren't young and the first female heroine introduced, Charlotte, was no push over but she was mature, strong and although she had her sweet southern respectful ways, through her intelligence, hardships and family connections, she played them all to her advantage for the good of all mankind. I read and have read a lot of them and book one held such promise with this group. Rock star romance for a while now is my favorite. I looked so forward to book two in Scorned Lovers after I fell in love with Travis and Charlotte's story in book 1. I can't say strongly enough how I wish I was given an ARC prior to its release because I would have loved to have communicated with this author. First off, I was not given an ARC and wasn't asked to give a review, nor am I a friend of this author.
